Years of camping and outdoors experience have taught Nick that every day holds a new adventure. On top of a full course load, Nick can be found all over campus giving presentations about the Career Center, promoting events, and trying to find a cup of coffee. Beyond the Career Center, Nick works with Student Support Services as a Peer Mentor to first generation college students, and is currently serving as the Philanthropy/Community Service Chair of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Post graduation, Nick hopes to continue his studies in graduate school in order to further his knowledge of the natural world. When not busy with school, events, and emails, Nick likes to spend time outdoors, go on late night Perkins runs, and is working on becoming a Pokémon master.
Major: Construction Engineering
Sheridan, one of our career peers, has many different jobs throughout an average work day. She can be found assisting career advisers in meetings, giving classroom presentations, helping promote career events on campus as well as working at them to ensure a smooth turnout at each one. She is studying Construction Engineering at NDSU and hopes to obtain a job designing for construction projects with Mortenson Construction, where she has been interning during the past year. Her ultimate goal is to stay close to family and friends while working for the company and doing what she enjoys in order to create new and beautiful structures across the country. Along with work and school, Sheridan is a part of the Distinguished Leaders Program on campus where she mentors a high school student from North Fargo High School. She also coaches dance on Monday evenings to 1st-3rd graders through Just For Kix in West Fargo. In her free time, Sheridan enjoys reading lots of books, watching movies, and spending time with close friends and family.
Joe was born and raised in Minneapolis Minnesota and is currently a fourth year student at NDSU with plans on graduating in his fifth year with a degree in exercise science and a minor in psychology. From here, he hopes to apply to physical therapy school either in Minnesota or Arizona. Joe has previously worked as a customer service representative at Physical Therapy Orthopaedic Specialists Inc. in Minneapolis. Joe is currently a member of the Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field team at NDSU, and is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes on campus. He is energetic, and enjoys helping others while socializing. In his free time, he likes to run, fish, and embark on backpacking trips into the mountains.

Career Peer, Sadie, can be found at the front desk checking in appointments, assisting with the marketing and event planning, and helping around the office. Sadie is a sophomore, who is majoring in Strategic Communications and minoring in Business Administration. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends and family, she likes to go camping, traveling, and going to Bison sporting events.
Career Peer Advisor
As a Career Peer Advisor, Kade assists students with many aspects of resumes, cover letters, and interview prep. Highly ambitious and future-focused, he has a passion for helping others explore potential career paths, and encourages them to shoot for the stars. Kade is currently a senior in Mechanical Engineering with plans of pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. He is a true Bison at heart, and enjoys working with prospective/incoming students by serving as an NDSU Admissions Tour Guide and Welcome Week Leader. Upon graduation, Kade will begin a full-time position with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA, where he will assist in maintaining and modernizing the U.S. Navy’s fleet. Apart from the hustle and bustle of school and work, Kade enjoys relaxing with his brothers in the Sigma Chi Fraternity, biking around campus, and (when weather permits) going on picnics with his girlfriend, Mina.

As a Career Mentor, Andrea can be found helping students fine tune their resumes, cover letters, assist in interview prep, and helping students with career exploration.
Andrea is currently a Senior in HDFS and will be be graduating in December of this year. She is hoping to attend graduate school in the Spring at NDSU for Educational Leadership to pursue her dream of being an academic advisor! She thrives helping students discover their own career path by guiding them along the way.
Outside of the Career Center, Andrea enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and family. She loves to play board games, try new restaurants, and spend time outdoors while trying not to get sunburned! :)
Julia is a Career Mentor at the Career Center located in 306 Ceres. She can assist you in preparing for interviews, as well as creating strong resumes and cover letters. She is a fourth-year English student with a double minor in Psychology and Strategic Communication. When she isn’t working with students at the Career Center, you can find Julia spending time with friends, writing, taking photos and talking about Harry Potter. After graduating, Julia hopes to pursue law school.
Major: Crop and Weed Sciences
Career Peer, Katie Skalicky, keeps herself busy at the front desk with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, presenting and marketing upcoming career fairs and expos to classes throughout campus, and being one of the first friendly faces you see while walking in to the Career Center. Katie is currently a freshman pursuing a degree in Crop and Weed Science. She plans to use her degree to work with global food security issues in hopes of being involved in the elimination of world hunger. Before joining the Career Center staff, she held a job with a local printing shop in her hometown of Owatonna, MN, and has worked with many agriculture business throughout the past couple of summers. In Katie’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, exploring Fargo, attending Bison sporting events, and she will soon be coaching for the Fargo/Moorhead girls lacrosse program.
