Sara Van de Streek
As the Internship Coordinator, Sara works with students, faculty, staff and employers to answer questions on the basics of internships, and help students register internships for academic credit. In addition to coordinating the internship program, she also works with students and alumni on resume preparation and interview strategies both in the classroom and in 1:1 appointments. One of her favorite things about her job is helping with mock interviews. Sara earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Mass and Speech Communication from NDSU and is a proud member of the Bison family. Before working in the Career Center, Sara spent 2 years working in the NDSU Office of Admission as an Admission Counselor. Prior to that she spent 6 years/7 seasons working full-time for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, a minor league professional baseball team, in a variety of roles including Director of Graphic Design and Merchandising. Sara and her husband Tristan are the parents to two active and outgoing elementary school kids and one easy-going black lab rescue. Sara enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the gym and binge watching the latest Netflix series.

Internship Program Assistant
Jessica, Internship Assistant, manages the behind-the-scenes processes of the Career Center’s internship program, as well as compiling reports for use in the Career Center and other departments. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. Prior to moving to Fargo and joining NDSU, Jessica worked as a Special Ed Paraprofessional at a Hutterite school, and as a Planning and Zoning Administrator for a county in South Dakota; she has also taught yoga since 2010. Jessica spends her free time chasing after her young son, dancing to the Grateful Dead, practicing yoga, hiking in the woods, or with her nose buried in a great book with a cup of strong coffee in her hand!
As a Graduate Assistant, Emma meets with students to help them register their internships for academic credit. She also works with students on resume development and assists with mock interviews. Hearing about exciting internship experiences from students she meets and working on a variety of projects are two things she really enjoys about her job. Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Winona State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in counselor education at NDSU. Prior to working at the Career Center, Emma served as an Office Assistant for the Geoscience and Physics departments at Winona State. Outside of the office, Emma enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring national parks, and kayaking or sailing on Minnesota’s 10,000+ lakes.
