Where Interest Meet Majors & Careers Workshops

The NDSU Career Center and Advising Resource Center have collaborated to provide a workshop specifically for students who are determined to see how their interests align with college majors and possible career paths.  The workshop offers group exploration tactics, but there is also an individualized component to ensure that all participants are receiving content that is helpful to their particular situation.  This workshop is 3-parts and registration will be required to ensure space availability.  Here’s what to expect:

Day 1:  Students will learn how interests fit into various categories that can assist with determining best fit majors and careers.  Participants will also receive an overview of the Strong Interest Inventory and will know what to expect from their results.

  • Spring ’19:  February 14th, 3:30 – 5:00 PM in A. Glenn Hill 326

Day 2:  Students will complete the Strong Interest Inventory and also get their results interpreted 1-on-1 with a certified professional.  Participants will have to cover the $15.75 expense, and the interpretation appointment will be scheduled at the student’s convenience.

Day 3:  Participants will learn how their individual results from the inventory can be applied to other free, online resources and how they can take their results another step with the exploration process.

  • Spring ’19: February 21st, 3:30 – 5:00 PM in FLC 120
